Nødnett: Project Management

team was assigned with the roll-out management of the nationwide Norwegian safety network “Nødnett”. Apart from the implementation of a digital TETRA radio network, the control centres of the Norwegian police, fire department and health organisations were equipped with an integrated communication and operation control system.

The know-how of team was mainly used in project management, in order to realise the demanding technical and organisational complexity of Nødnett and furthermore, to manage the deliveries well-structured and transparent, according to the time-critical challenge of the roll-out project.

A high emphasis was set on the different requirements of the public safety organisations, which were handled with a deep understanding for individual work processes and communication needs by the team project management.

BOS Digital Radio – Authorised Entity Bavaria (ASBY)

In this project team was assigned with realising a modern service centre for the BOS (authorities and organisations responsible for security) digital radio, which guarantees the operation of 130.000 TETRA terminals and of the corresponding control centres, integrating all authorities like the police, emergency medical services and the fire-brigade. The introduction of digital radio is technically very challenging as well as concerning organisational matters. At times the emergency authorities have to adapt their tactical approach to their working resources.

team meets these requirements, due to its long-term experience in planning and monitoring TETRA projects and due to its know-how concerning the organisation of technical operation (ITIL conform process model). After having completed the comprehensive analysis and synthesis of tasks, team was responsible for the selection and integration of the required tools in the areas site and user management, service desk operation, asset and inventory management and SLA management. In the course of the project team was also entrusted with applying a GIS system for visualising static and dynamic data.
